Study 01Ask an AI for a roofer: what ChatGPT and Claude recommend, and why.
We measured it · August 2026

AI names a business 3 times in a hundred.

We asked ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini the questions a customer actually asks — "best locksmith in Hamilton", "who should I call today" — about real plumbers, locksmiths, garage-door companies and clinics across the GTA. This is how often the business was named at all.

Run weekly by the same engine our customers pay for. Repeat it yourself and you should get the same answer — that is the point.

So what does it say about your business?

This asks all three assistants, live, right now. It is the same engine our paying customers are measured with — not a demo — and it will show you which businesses were recommended instead of yours.

Why this is not a ranking

There is no page two in an AI answer. One business gets named and the rest of the trade does not exist for that customer. That is why a 3% share is not "a bit of traffic missing" — it is the difference between being the answer and not being in the conversation.

How we measure it

Twelve buyer questions per business, asked of each assistant with web search on, every Monday and Thursday, and the answer is stored. It is the same method behind the number at the top of this page, and the same one we hand a customer in their monthly report.
