Getting started

Getting started

From sign-up to the first article on your site.

How fast do we start?

Your engine is live within one business day, and the first article publishes on your next publishing day. Sign up, connect your site (about two minutes), tell us what you sell and where, and the plan is built from that. Nothing waits on a meeting.

What do you need from me?

Your website, what you sell, where you serve, and the rules you want us to follow. The rules matter most: the offer you actually run, the prices you never state, the credentials you hold or do not hold. Ten minutes on the intake form covers it, and you can change any of it later from the dashboard.

Do I need to write or approve anything?

No. You approve the content plan once and write down your rules. From then on the engine researches, writes, checks and publishes on schedule, and everything it did is visible in your dashboard. If you want to approve every article by hand before it goes live, switch that on - some owners do.

My site is not WordPress. Does it still work?

Yes - WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix and static sites are all live today. On WordPress our plugin publishes the article as a real post with title, meta, schema and internal links. On the others we publish through their APIs or the page builder. If your site is something unusual, ask before you sign up and we will tell you plainly whether it works.

Can I see an article before paying?

Yes. The free article is a real one, written for your business, no card needed. Tell the engine your website at 8ight.ai/free-article; it researches you, writes a full article in your voice and shows you exactly what it would publish.

Is there a contract?

No. Monthly plans run month to month and cancel in one click. Every SEO & GEO plan carries a 90-day money-back guarantee.

What you get

What you get

What publishes, where it goes and who checks it first.

What exactly publishes, and when?

One researched article per publishing day: three a week on SEO (Sunday, Tuesday, Friday), one a day Sunday to Friday on Growth and above. Never on Saturday. A missed day is skipped, not made up with a burst - a burst of pages is exactly what search engines penalise.

Where do the articles go?

Onto your own website, as real pages you own. Not a PDF, not a Google Doc, not a copy-paste job for you. The article lands with its title, meta description, structured data, internal links to your service pages and its own image, and it stays yours if you ever leave.

Who checks the content before it is live?

A second reviewer reads every finished article against your written rules and against plain reality, and holds it if something is wrong. No invented prices, no credential you do not hold, no offer you discontinued, no placeholder text. It quotes the exact sentence that breaks a rule. This exists because a business owner once told us about a free trial he had ended that a writer kept promising; that never happens again.

What do you mean by "my rules"?

The facts about your business that must never be wrong in print. Your real offer and how it is worded, the prices you do and do not state, the licences and certifications you hold, the areas you serve, the words you never use. You write them once; the writer follows them and the checker enforces them.

Do the articles use my photos and my colours?

Yes. Your brand colours drive the article layout, and your own photos are used when you give us a library of them. When you do not, each article gets a generated image set in your trade and your setting - never a stock photo of someone else's shop.

Do I get social media posts?

On Growth and above, every article becomes an Instagram and a Facebook post with the article's own image and a caption in your voice. The same checker reads the caption before it goes out. Google Business Profile posts are on Growth and above too, posted by our team from the week's content.

Are video reels included?

Not right now. We removed reels from every plan until they run as reliably as the articles do. When they are back, existing customers get them at no change in price. We would rather say "not yet" than promise a video that does not arrive.

Can I read what was published?

Every article, every ranking, every check, in your dashboard. You also get an email when something needs a human look - a held article, a rule that seems to contradict itself, a site that stopped answering.

Google and AI search

Google and AI search

Ranking on Google, being named by ChatGPT, and how we measure both.

Will AI-written content actually rank?

Content ranks when it is researched, specific to a place, structured the way search engines read, and checked - and that is what we publish. Real keyword research, one target phrase per article, clean structure, schema markup, internal links, and a reviewer before it goes live. Google's 2026 updates penalise scaled generic pages; they reward exactly the local, checked page we write. Our own sites rank this way, and clients hold first-page results for their main services in their cities.

What is GEO?

Generative Engine Optimisation: being the business an AI assistant names when a customer asks for a recommendation. More and more customers ask ChatGPT or Gemini "who does X in my town" instead of searching. GEO is the work of getting your business named and cited in those answers - structured data, entity signals, the right pages, and the citations assistants trust.

How do you know whether ChatGPT names me?

We ask it, for real, every week, and record the answer. On every GEO plan, dozens of questions your customers ask - across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude and Perplexity. For each one we store whether you were named and who was; for ChatGPT and Perplexity, also whether your site was among the sources cited. You see it in your dashboard; nothing is estimated.

Why does AI name a competitor and not me?

Usually because the assistant found the competitor on a source it trusts - a directory, a review site, a well-structured page - and found nothing equivalent for you. That is not a content problem you fix with one blog post; it is a citation gap. On Growth and above, every query you lose becomes the next article; on Premium+, it also becomes a task list of the exact profiles and listings to claim.

What is the Authority action plan?

The Premium+ feature that turns AI citation gaps into a checklist. For every question you are absent from, we record who the assistant cited instead - Yelp, Angi, a directory, a competitor - and rank those sources by how often they are cited in your market. You get tasks: claim this profile, get listed here, fix this. Refreshed monthly as the answers change.

Do you track my Google rankings too?

Yes, daily, for the phrases your customers actually type, where they type them. You see the position, the page that holds it and the movement. When a phrase moves, the next article is built to hold or take the spot.

Can you get me into the Google Map pack?

We help, and we are honest about the limits: the map pack is driven by your Google Business Profile, your reviews and your address, not only by content. We keep the profile active with posts, write the local pages that support it, and tell you exactly which citations you are missing. We do not fake reviews and we do not move addresses.

Pricing and billing

Pricing and billing

How pricing works, and what the Starter credits and the guarantee mean.

How much does 8ight cost?

Pricing is tailored to each business and set on a demo. It depends on how much we publish, how many AI questions we track, how many sites and brands, and how much of the work we carry. Book a demo and you leave the call with a plan and a price, or start free with 3,000 credits, no card.

What are the plans?

SEO, Growth, Premium and Premium+. SEO is three articles a week with tracking. Growth is an article a day plus AI-search tracking and social posts. Premium adds competitor-gap articles and a monthly report. Premium+ adds the Authority action plan. What each plan includes is on 8ight.ai/pricing.

How do the 3,000 free credits work?

3,000 free credits, on us: no card, 30 days, to try it out. They work across your dashboard, and the dashboard shows what each action uses before it runs. Nothing renews and nothing is charged; when they run out you choose a plan, and everything you made stays yours.

What does the 90-day money-back guarantee cover?

Every SEO & GEO plan. If in the first 90 days you decide it is not for you, tell us and the payments are refunded. You keep the articles.

Can I upgrade, downgrade or cancel?

Any time, in one click, from the dashboard. Monthly plans have no contract. A change of plan takes effect on the next billing date; a cancellation stops the engine at the end of the paid period and leaves everything published where it is.

What is the difference between Premium and Premium+?

Premium measures and reports; Premium+ tells you what to do about it. Premium+ adds the Authority action plan - the exact profiles and listings AI is citing instead of you, as tasks, refreshed monthly - and a thirty-minute call every quarter.

Why not a cheap AI SEO tool?

They sell volume; we sell a checked page a day and the tracking to prove it worked. Hundreds of generated pages, programmatic sites and purchased backlinks are what the 2026 spam updates target. We publish fewer pages, each researched for your area, checked against your rules and tracked afterwards - and we do not buy links.

Your website and the technical side

Your website and the technical side

Access, speed, and what happens if you leave.

Do you need admin access to my website?

No. On WordPress, a plugin key is enough; we never need your admin password. The 8ight plugin publishes the article and reports back. On other platforms we connect through their own API keys, which you can revoke any time.

Will this slow my site down?

No. An article is plain HTML, and the plugin adds one small script that counts visits on your own site. No page builders, no heavy embeds, no third-party trackers. Images are optimised before they are uploaded.

Do you touch my existing pages?

Not unless you ask. The engine adds new articles and links them to your existing service pages; it does not rewrite the pages you have. If you want your service pages strengthened - and for AI search you usually should - that is a separate, explicit piece of work we agree with you first.

What happens to the articles if I leave?

They stay. They are posts on your site, and they are yours. The engine stops publishing at the end of the paid period; nothing is deleted.

Do you use my Google Search Console?

If you give us view access, your dashboard shows Google's own data - impressions and clicks - next to ours. It takes two minutes in Search Console (Settings, Users and permissions, add daniel@8ight.ai). It is optional, and it is the best proof there is.

Who owns the content and the images?

You do. Articles, images, schema - everything published to your site is yours to keep, edit or delete.

Agencies and partners

Agencies and partners

For the people who already hold the relationship with businesses.

Can I run 8ight under my own brand?

Yes. White-label runs today: your name on the dashboard, the reports and the articles, your price, and we never contact your client. Agencies with a book of clients use it as their content and AI-search department. Details at 8ight.ai/partners.

How does the 30% referral work?

Thirty percent of every payment the client makes, for as long as they stay. Not a one-time bounty, not a first-year rate. Paid on the payments the client actually makes.

Who supports the client?

On a referral, we do. On white-label, you do, and we stay invisible. It is decided per client, and you can mix both.

Can I manage many clients from one place?

Yes. The agency dashboard shows every client's articles, rankings and AI mentions in one view, and lets you add a client in minutes. Bulk pricing is agreed on a call.

The AI receptionist and the CRM

The AI receptionist and the CRM

For when marketing is not the part that is broken.

What does the AI receptionist do?

It answers every call, day and night, in your brand's voice, and files each one as a job. Every call is recorded and transcribed. It reads your registered address to callers instead of guessing, takes the details a dispatcher would, and hands off to a person when a caller asks for one.

What does it cost?

It is billed per answered call, with no monthly fee. A call counts when it runs 30 seconds or more; wrong numbers, hang-ups and short questions are free. The rate is tailored to the business: book a demo, or start free.

Does it work with my existing number?

Yes - forward your number to it, or we set up a new local number for you. Either way it answers under your name.

Is there a CRM?

Yes: Sales OS, where every call, lead and deal lives on one board. Two plans, Solo and Team, 15 days free with no credit card. See 8ight.ai/sales-os.
